Footprints in the snow eventually led police to arrest three people for burglarizing motor vehicles in Bangor.  Police are now asking residents who find that their vehicles have been burglarized to contact the department. They may have your belongings.

It was just after 4 o’clock this morning when a Silver Road resident called police to report finding  footprints in the snow around her car. She told police it appeared someone had unsuccessfully tried to enter her vehicle.

About a half hour later, a resident of Deer Isle Road called police and reported seeing three men in the area dressed in snow clothes and said that it appeared they were trying to get into cars. Sergeant Cathy Rumsey said in a press release that several officers responded to the call and, as a result, three men were arrested.
