Florida Georgia Line Rolls ‘Dig Your Roots’ Tour To Bangor

The boys of Florida Georgia Line rolled into in Bangor Thursday night, bringing their Dig Your Roots tour to thousands of fans at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion.

The show started in the rain, with the first drops falling just as newcomer Kane Brown took the stage. But by the time The Cadillac 3 wound up their set, the showers had stopped and a rainbow appeared over the Penobscot.

From there, it was smooth sailing with Cole Swindell delivering a set filled with hits and some new material from his latest album You Should Be Here. Before Swindell performed the title track of his newest album, he had the audience singing along to No. 1 hits from his debut album including "Hope You Get Lonely," "Chillin' It," and "Let Me See Ya Girl."

And before his final song, he asked the audience, "Does anyone out there have an ex that sucks?" The crowd's response was pretty much unanimous, sending Swindell into yet another No. 1 song, "You Ain't Worth the Whiskey."

Swindell more than warmed up the crowd for Florida Georgia Line, whose set began with a revving semi engine on a giant video screen as the pair launched into their 2012 hit "This Is How We Roll."

The duo of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard had fun with the crowd, telling stories and even borrowing some sunglasses before getting their "Sun Daze" on.

During their 90-minute set, the boys mixed their hits, including "Dirt," "Confession," and "Get Your Shine On," with new songs including the fan-favorite "H.O.L.Y." off their upcoming album to be released Aug. 26.

During their encore, Kelly and Hubbard showed the crowd some early photos of themselves while performing a diverse medley of songs including those from Chamillionaire ("Ridin' Dirty"), Papa Roach and Backstreet Boys (which by the way was Kelly's first concert and Hubbard's first CD.)

Before calling it a night, they gave the crowd a fireworks filled performance of "Cruise."
