For Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line, it wasn't always just about the music. From the earliest days of their musical partnership and friendship, the two men knew they wanted to use their songs to provide opportunities for those in need. The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a great avenue for that generosity.

FGL called Taste of Country and gushed about how blessed they are to be in a position to change lives. One gets the sense Hubbard and Kelley feel it's their responsibility, and it's not one they're shying away from.

“Tyler and I have said this a million times, and we’ve said it from day one," Kelley explains. "We wanna be bigger than the music and leave a lasting mark not only in our hometowns and hometown communities, but in Nashville as well and across the world -- just try to be a better person every day.”

Visiting hospitals like St. Jude "reminds you to take it day by day," they add. While they've yet to have their St. Jude baptism, they've visited other children's hospitals and heard -- and seen -- the effects of the Memphis-based hospital's efforts.

“It’s incredible what St. Jude does for the kids,” Kelley says. “We know a lot of people that have been affected and touched by that whole program.”

It's reasons like this that Taste of Country is pressing pause on coverage of all but the most pressing news stories in an effort to raise money for St. Jude. For 25 years, country radio, artists and record labels have helped raise more than $500 million, ensuring that no one ever pays a dime for treatment at St. Jude.
