Five people from Maine and Massachusetts were charged with unlawful trafficking in heroin/fentanyl and cocaine after an investigation into a non-fatal drug overdose Sunday in Bath.

Police arrested Ales Mena, 20, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, Glenn Hagan, 25, of Biddeford, Kimberly Lermond, 34 of Brunswick and Devyn Pushard, 21, and Molena Ward, 19, both of Bath, state police said in a news release Tuesday.

Drug agents conducted surveillance of Pushard as he traveled to the parking lot of the Biddeford Walmart with Ward and Lermond Monday. Agents continued surveillance of Pushard until Hagan arrived with 42 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl, the release said.

Hagan and Pushard were arrested and transported to the York County Jail. Ward and Lermond were summonsed to court and released at the scene.

Agents conducted a search of Hagan’s apartment and seized approximately 140 grams of cocaine, 180 grams of heroin/fentanyl, 9 firearms and $4,860 dollars in suspected drug proceeds, police said. The estimated street value of the drugs was $41,000.

Police then arranged a meeting between an undercover agent and Mena, the suspected supplier of the drugs, at the Maine Mall in South Portland. The release said Mena was arrested as he delivered about 50 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl to the agent.

Mena was transported to the Cumberland County Jail, where bail was set at $25,000 cash.
