First Christmas Song Broadcast From Space

An organist from Savannah, Georgia wrote and first performed the song he called 'The One Horse Open Sleigh' at his church's Thanksgiving concert. The song was republished in 1857 and given the title 'Jingle Bells'. December 16, 1965 Gemini 6 serenaded Mission Control with the song after reporting they saw a "red suited" astronaut.
