Three people are facing charges for allegedly burning down a house in Anson in an attempt to conceal a burglary.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says many of the items stolen from the house have been recovered. The fire on February 24th on the Pease Hill Road destroyed the summer home of Daniel St. Amand, of Texas, assessed at $71,480.00.

Deyon Kitchin, 19, and Dylan Brown, 23, are being held at the Somerset County Jail, while a 17-year-old Madison girl has been released to the custody of her parents. All three are charged with arson, burglary, aggravated criminal mischief, and theft.

On Saturday, Fire Marshals and Somerset County Sheriff's deputies searched the home of Linda Green on Main Street in Madison and recovered a number of the items taken from the residence. Among the items found were an oxygen tank, firecrackers, antique dishes, and a backpack. Greene, who is a friend of the two men, is charged with possessing marijuana.
