Crews Battle Fire on Bayview Drive in Bar Harbor

Motorists are asked to avoid the Bayview Drive in Bar Harbor, as seven area fire departments are fighting a structure fire Friday morning as of 10:10 a.m.

In addition to Bar Harbor Firefighters, crews from Mount Desert, Tremont, Southwest Harbor, Ellsworth, Northeast Harbor and Trenton have joined in to combat the blaze.

The Mount Desert Islander is reporting that Route 3 is blocked with all traffic being detoured down the Crooked Point Road.
