Police are asking for the public's help, after fires destroyed tractor trailer cabs at two different locations of the R. C. Moore Trucking company.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating what Police are calling a coordinated effort to burn tractor trailer cabs at the R.C. Moore locations in Poland and Scarborough. No one was injured but officials say damage will be close to a million dollars. The fires were reported just three minutes apart, with a total of six cabs destroyed and two damaged.

In Scarborough, the fire was reported at 8:16 p.m. by a trucker who was sleeping in his cab on the lot. A passing trucker reported the fire at 4 Spring Water Road in Poland at 8:19 p.m. The flames spread through trucks that were parked nose to nose as firefighters worked to stop them from reaching other trucks parked alongside.

Investigators from the State Fire Marshal's Office worked through the night, and have been joined by Federal investigators from the ATF's Maine offices. A press conference is expected this afternoon.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
