A string of bank robberies in the area remain unsolved, so the FBI is now offering a reward, in hopes that someone will step forward with valuable information.

Local Law Enforcement, the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, and the FBI held a press conference yesterday to discuss bank robberies in four towns. At issue were robberies at Key Bank in Ellsworth on February 3rd, Camden National Bank in Corinth on March 20th, Maine Savings Federal Credit Union in Bangor on April 3rd, and Bangor Savings Bank in Orono on April 25th.

In each case, a suspect wearing a dark colored hoodie with their face concealed committed the crimes. Police believe it's either the same person or a group and that all the robberies are related.

They're asking for the public's help and the FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for a tip that leads to an arrest. Anyone who thinks they may have valuable information should call the Penobscot County Sheriff's office.
