An Industry man who pleaded guilty to charges in connection with a fatal hit and run on New Year's Day is going to prison for three years.

The accident happened early on January 1st in Farmington, when 21-year-old Taylor Gaboury was struck by a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Tommy Clark of Industry. Clark told police he tried to wake the Wilton woman, but left the scene when he realized she was dead. His vehicle was later found at a nearby hotel, and Clark admitted that he'd been drinking.

The sentence was part of a plea deal, in which Clark pleaded guilty to drunken driving and leaving the scene of a fatal hit-and-run accident. The judge accepted the plea deal, saying Clark is a good candidate for rehabilitation. Gaboury's family says they were not consulted about the deal.
