Fire officials have tentatively identified a man who died in an overnight fire in Acton.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the fire broke out sometime during the Saturday/Sunday overnight hours. Crews responded to a garage with a second floor apartment on the Hopper Road.

A man's body was recovered from the rubble early this morning by a team of fire investigators. An autopsy is planned to determine cause of death and confirm that victim's identity, but officials have tentatively identified him as 28-year-old Edward Roberts, who lived in the apartment.

The State Fire Marshal's Office will continue to investigate the cause of the blaze.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
