Fairfield Woman Shot In The Shoulder

A Fairfield woman is recovering after police say she was shot in the shoulder by her ex-boyfriend Wednesday night.

The BDN reports 36-year-old Jeremy Clement allegedly broke into his ex's Oak Street home at around 8:30 and the two got into a fight. During that altercation, the woman was shot in the shoulder, and Clement and a third person were injured. All three were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Clement was later arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Burglary. He's being held at Kennebec County Correctional Facility in Augusta.
