If you haven't seen the Academy Award winning movie 'Big Hero 6,' I encourage you to check it out. Truly one of the best movies I've seen. And yes, I left the word 'animated' out of that sentence on purpose. It will make you laugh and make you cry. And you'll wish you had a Baymax of your own!

Jim and I watched the movie last night and I absolutely loved it. It tells the story of a young teen named Hiro, who's very smart but not very motivated. His big brother helps him see that he could use his brains to have a fun and challenging career by showing him the lab where he works. And his latest project - a giant inflatable robot healthcare worker named Baymax that activates when someone gets hurt.

I won't give any of the plot away, except to say that Baymax finds a whole new purpose in life. And so does Hiro! This film has everything, from moments that will make you cry, to times when you'll be cheering...and everything in between.

The combination of San Francisco and Tokyo to construct the city in the movie impressed me, with different cultures living together. (great lesson for kids) And, although I'm not an anime fan, I really loved the blending of traditional American animation with more anime-style characters.

Okay, I'll stop gushing. Just be sure to see it! You'll love the movie. And you'll wish that you had a Baymax tucked in a room of your house. I mean, who wouldn't love a big, soft, cuddly snowman-looking person to give you a warm hug once in a while? Awesome!
