The event will benefit theBangor Humane Society    The walk begins at 9 a.m.\, when 2-legged and 4-legged participants gather at the Waterfront’s public parking lot. There will be lots of puppy-friendly vendors and displays. You can register online\, in person at the Bangor Humane Society\, or at the event on Saturday.    Your dog can compete in contests like the pet costume contest and you can enter raffles! This is one of the Bangor Humane Society‘s biggest fundraisers of the year\, so they’d love it if you took part! For more information\, check the event page on Facebook.

DESCRIPTION:[caption id="attachment_27765" align="alignleft" width="630"] Getty Images[/caption]    On Tuesday\, Nov. 13\, Kid will lave the comforts of his home and his studio here at Z-107.3 and move into the Brewer Hannaford parking lot for the 2012 edition of Free the Z\, sponsored by Supercuts.    He can’t go home\, take a shower or do anything else until he collects 2\,012 turkeys for Manna Ministries\, which will feed families in need throughout the area this Thanksgiving.    If you'd rather\, you also can donate with cash ($10 equals one turkey toward our goal)\, a check or go the more traditional route and pick up a frozen bird while grocery shopping and bring it to Kid. He'll take it from there by storing it in a big\, freezer truck on site until they're ready to go to Manna.    Last year\, we collected a record 3\,000 turkeys\, so Kid has his work cut out for him in 2012.    One other thing you can do is help us get the word out! The event has its own Facebook page to help spread the word. We'll also be posting updates there and on our website\, so help us Free the Z!    Thanks!

In the 22 years we have been doing this ride\, Q-106.5 Listeners have donated nearly a half a million dollars to this great cause\, and with the 40th Anniversary of the Pine Tree Camp Ride-In Weekend\, February 1st - 3rd in Newport\, we want to reach $40\,000!
