Emera Maine crews have been dispatched to address power outages today (11/02) caused by high winds, sleet, freezing rain, and heavy, wet snow moving across the region. View map here.

As of 9 AM more than 2,100 customers are without power, primarily in Downeast areas but further inland as well. The utility placed extra crews on standby for the weekend in anticipation of the storm. They will remain in the field addressing problems and working to restore service to customers as safely and quickly as possible. The target restoration time is 11 AM, but can be subject to change without notice.

Motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution as some of the outages are caused by car/pole accidents related to slippery driving conditions.

Emera Maine encourages customers to stay clear of downed power lines and trees in contact with power lines. Customers may report outages or ask questions by calling their Customer Service Center at (207) 973-2000 or 1-855-EMERA11 (1-855-363-7211) and on their website or mobile site.
