The high winds along with the ice Downeast are creating numerous outages in coastal towns, and the crews from Emera Maine are dealing with them as it "becomes safe to do so."

At this moment, 10AM Tuesday, there are over 1300 customers without power, mostly  in the towns of Franklin, Sorrento, Sedgwick, Seal Harbor, Mount Desert, Somesville, Blue Hill, and Brooklin.

Remember to stay away from downed power lines and also any tree limbs that may be hanging in them.  Slow down if approaching utility crews or other emergency vehicles working on the side of the road!

Customers with outages or concerns can call the Emera Maine Contact Center at (207) 973-2000 or (1-855-363-7211.  For the latest information, check out their outage map!
