Ellsworth Builder’s Model Home Lost To Fire

An Ellsworth builder lost one of their model homes to fire over the weekend.

According to the Broughan Builders Inc. Facebook page, it was the Chalet model home that burned. The fire was called in just before 7:30 Sunday night at the builder's lot on 151 Downeast Highway. Crews saw flames coming out of the back of the building when they arrived. No one was hurt in the fire and damage appears to have been limited to that model.

The State Fire Marshal's Office will now investigate to determine what sparked the blaze.
