Thank goodness that Shirley and I have put years behind us as parents in the potty training world. The endless messes and trips to the store to buy expensive diapers, ointments and the like. Like many parents, we made it through it. But apparently there's a new approach to potty training.

Some moms in New York have taken to watching their kids a bit closer, and paying attention to visual cues. It's called, 'Elimination Communication.' When the signs are there, they scoop them up and hussle them off to the bathroom to get some business done. Babies are being trained as young as 4-months-old.
