Emera Maine announced today an 'urgent interruption in electric service' in the Lincoln area tomorrow.

Folks in parts of Lincoln, Winn, Mattawamkeag, and Lee will be without power for as much as four hours on Wednesday while urgent repairs are done to the electrical service. Emera Maine spokesman Bob Potts says the company understands how inconvenient this will be, on the day before a holiday, but adds that it will likely save a much longer, and unexpected outage in the future.

The streets in Lincoln that will be effected include the northern portion of Main Street, Bridge Road, Old Military Road, Lee Street, Hale Farm Road, Depot Street, Scenic View Drive, Bagley Mountain Road, Tower Road, McIntyre Street,Curtis Farm Road, Lee Road, and Buena Vista Drive.

In Winn, residents of Main Street and Route 168 will be affected. In Mattawamkeag, only Main Street will be without electricity.

And in Lee, the involved streets will include North Road, Mallett Mill Road, Maxwell Road, Old Steamboat Road, Dam Road, Whitten Shore Road, Arab Road, Thomas Hill Road, Half Township Road, South Road, Lee Road, Emerson Drive, Skunk Hill Road, Weir Pond Road, Cobb Road, Thurlow Road, Pine Bluff, Gray Knocket Road, Coles Landing, Colony Court, Slipper Ridge, Silver Lake Road, Smart Road, Gifford Road, Richardson Road, and Corbett Road,

The outage is scheduled to start at 6:30 in the morning and is expected to last approximately four hours. We wanted to pass this information along, in case folks were planning to do any baking tomorrow. You might want to plan on getting it done in the afternoon.
