Update: Dog Found After Running Away From Drug Arrest

Bangor Police went looking for a dog today after making a drug arrest. While police were dealing with the man in the car, his dog had hopped out and run away. Police now say they were notified by the suspect's sister that the dog has been found.

Police Sgt. Cathy Rumsey says early this morning officers attempted to stop 26-year-old Bryan Worcester after seeing him drive erratically on Forest Avenue.

A low-speed chase ensued, because Worcester refused to stop, and despite flattened tires from spike mats, he kept moving.

Sgt. Rumsey says when Worcester did come to a stop at Kohl's, police arrested him and discovered a white substance that they say tested positive as bath salts.

In the process, Worcester's dog apparently made a run for it prompting police to ask for the public's help in locating the dog, described as a female pitbull/boxer mix that is tan in color.

Again, that dog has been found, safe and sound.

Worcester faces charges of Refusing to Sop for Law Enforcement,Operating Under the Influence of Drugs, and Unlawful Possession of a Schedule W Drug.

His arraignment is tentatively scheduled for Feb 12, 2014.
