Maine DEA agents seized 212 marijuana plants and more than 8 pounds of processed marijuana from two warehouses on Wednesday.

The raid was part of an investigation that started when Maine game wardens observed Kenneth Gray, 56, of Warren selling marijuana to two men in Waldoboro, according to a press release sent out Thursday by the Maine Department of Public Safety.

The warden service referred the case to the MDEA.

Gray is licensed to grow marijuana for up to five patients, but when drug agents arrived at Gray’s home in Warren, they discovered two warehouses that housed marijuana growing operations, which according to the press release, were not in compliance with a number of state requirements for being a medical marijuana caregiver.

The drugs had an estimated street value of $20,000, according to the press release.

Gray was charged with two counts of drug trafficking.
