The Federal Junior Duck Stamp Design is a  yearly contest put on by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and a teen from Milford has won the Best of Show in the Maine competition!

Noel Stormann , a student at the Dr. Lewis S. Libby School, entered her drawing entitled "Ruddy Ducks" into competition with 468 other entries and came out #1!  Her drawing will now be entered into the National Competition this April, and will also be part of an exhibit that will tour the country this year!

The judging was held at the L.L. Bean store in Freeport this past Friday.

The drawing that wins the national competition will be used to create the Federal Junior Duck Stamp, which will cost $5 and support environmental education in schools nationally.
