Knowing your soon to be born child has Down Syndrome can be a rather scary feeling. There's a lot that you don't know. So many questions need to be answered. I've known many families that have a child that has been afflicted with the disorder, and the only thing I see is more love that is needed on a daily basis.

"There were things that I just didn't know at the time. Up to that point, I had a stereotypical picture of Down syndrome in my mind: a life with zero potential, a life spent trapped in a corner with no time to think, feel, or truly live. This unfounded view of Down syndrome created an imagined reality of despair and sadness. A reality that, it turns out, doesn't exist."
