Did You Know That There’s Still More Than 300 Public Pay Phones In Bangor?

In this day and age you hardly even take notice of them anymore, but did you know that there's more than 300 public pay phones in the City of Bangor? More than 50 in Brewer!

Who uses these pay phones now?  Obviously these people don't have access to a cell phone.

A lot of the pay phones located in Bangor are located at the airport, or at the Penobscot County Jail. There's more than 50 pay phones in Brewer, with most in service at restaurants or motels.

The Payphone project has a list of every pay phone located in the State along with each phone's number.

Remember, pay phones keep their power during power outages, so they do come in incredibly handy in the event of an emergency!
