Imagine getting a phone call from your neighbor saying, "Your house is on fire". Imagine returning home to find you have no home and everything is destroyed. Now imagine trying to explain that to your 4 innocent kids that everything they've ever known is gone, and the 3 family dogs were killed in the fire.

That's what the Stewart family from Dexter experienced on Saturday, September 20th. So what now?! You can help them rebuild their lives by making a donation at this website.

I spoke with Ashley Stewart via email and she said last night was their last night at hotel set up by the Red Cross. The family now has to be split up to accommodate them all. Their future is uncertain.

They're in need of new or gently used items, especially clothing for the Stewart family's 4 kids. The two daughters need clothing sizes 10/12 and size 8 girls. Their two sons need size 3T and boys size 6. Please keep in mind cooler temperatures are here and winter is soon to follow. All the Stewart kids need outerwear such as coats, hats, gloves, snow pants, and boots.

Donations can be mailed to a neighbor: Marlene Bailey, 137 High Street, Dexter, ME 04930

They could also benefit from your donations of non-perishable goods, blankets, towels, furniture, beds - any household items that we use on a regular basis and take for granted - they need them all! Please help if you can, and spread the word.
