State and Presque Isle Police are investigating the death of an elderly man as a homicide.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the body of 86-year-old Leo Corriveau was found at his Houlton Road home late Saturday afternoon. Relatives found him and called Presque Isle Police.

An autopsy on Sunday at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta determined that his death was the result of a homicide, although no details have been released about cause of death. Corriveau lived alone in a mobile home. Investigators from the State Police, along with evidence technicians, spent much of Sunday at the home and will be back there today.
