Cookies Possibly Laced With Marijuana Seized From Bangor Daycare

Bangor Police responded to the the Watch Me Shine daycare on Gilman Avenue Wednesday after receiving a report that a parent had provided staff with several batches of homemade cookies that may have been laced with marijuana.

Several of the staff consumed the cookies and later reported a feeling of marijuana intoxication.

The children at the daycare did not consume the cookies, according to police.

Daycare management and police investigators contacted the parents of the children. The daycare has closed for the remainder of the day.

Detectives have been at the daycare all morning. All of the baked goods have been seized by investigators for laboratory/testing purposes.
