As the summer kicks into full swing so does Maine's busiest travel season of the year. With more cars on the roads and the cities getting busier, bad driving is something seen daily. This video captures some examples of the bad driving going on in Portland including a near collision.

Defensive driving is a must in Portland, made clear by this video. While most of the clips in this video show minor traffic mistakes like not going at a green light and stopping in the middle of intersections on red lights, others are much more dangerous.

The biggest mistake in this video is the bonus clip at 7:20 where a driver clearly doesn't look before pulling into traffic, nearly t-boning the filming vehicle.

It's pretty bad when something gives me a bit of road rage when I'm not even in a car, but the clip at 5:56 did just that. Not only does the car cut off the filming vehicle doing a U-turn, but while waiting at the stoplight the driver of the turning car is clearly putting on make-up and checking appearance in the rear-view mirror, distracted driving and bad driving at its finest.

The most embarrassing clip of all is at 4:24, the best example of how not to parallel park I've seen in a long time.

Do you think Portland has the worst drivers in Maine?
