A Roque Bluffs man is charged with manslaughter for a car accident that killed his daughter.

46-year-old Christopher Stevenson was traveling on Route 191 with his 11-year-old daughter last December when his car went off the road and hit a tree in Cathance Township just after 11 p.m. The girl, who was a student at the Rose M. Gaffney school, died at the scene.

Police say Stevenson was driving with a suspended license at the time of the crash. He was indicted this week for manslaughter and aggravated operating under the influence.
