Crews Battle Fire at Brewer Home [PHOTOS]

Crews battled a fire at a residence on Union Street in Brewer this morning.

Black and then grey smoke billowed over Brewer just before 9 a.m. Thursday as fire broke out at a home on Union Street. An officer on the scene told us residents were able to get out safely, along with their dog, but they lost kittens in the fire.

Traffic was blocked for much of the morning on Wilson Street. A group of people stood across the street watching as the fire burned.
