Couple Killed In Hiram Motorcycle Accident

A husband and wife from Wales were killed in a motorcycle accident on Route 113 in Hiram Monday, according to Maine State Police.

67-year-old Patrick Vaillancourt and his 64-year-old wife Margaret pronounced dead on the scene.

The two were struck by a pickup truck driven by 33-year-old Kenneth Bouffard of Hiram.

Investigators say Bouffard caused the accident by veering into the couples’ lane and speed and alcohol likely played a role in the accident.

Bouffard suffered non-life threatening injuries.
