A Cornville man was killed and another man injured when the mobile home they were demolishing collapsed.

21-year-old Adam Fine was the owner of the mobile home, that had been vacant for many years. WGME-TV says he and his 22-year-old friend, Nathan Shaw of Skowhegan, were demolishing the mobile home when the roof fell in on the structure at around 1:00 Wednesday afternoon. Fine was pinned beneath the rubble and is believed to have died instantly. Shaw was hurt but was able to walk away from the scene and call 911.

Investigators say all of the interior walls had been taken down and the roof had a significant amount of snow on it. The combination caused the roof to fall in on top of the men as they worked.

The Attorney General's Office was contacted but officials say, since Fine was working on his own building, there's no workplace safety issue.
