A musical fundraiser and cruise-in will be held this Sunday in Bangor to benefit Breanne McIntyre and John Gerald, who were both badly injured in a motorcycle accident last month.

John and Breanne's recoveries from multiple injuries will be long, difficult, and costly. Of course, with long recoveries come large medical bills. So local musicians and car enthusiasts are joining together to provide a fun day that will also help alleviate some of that financial burden.

This Sunday, from noon to 5pm, the Musical Fundraiser and Cruise-In to Benefit the Families of Bre & John will be held at the Spectacular Events Center on the Griffin Road in Bangor. It seems a fitting way to honor these two young people. Breanne has a beautiful voice and posted several videos of her music on YouTube, including the one seen above. And John is a car lover, who's worked at Quirk and at Twin City Speed Shop. So...perfect!

Music at the event will be provided by the Midnight Rose Band, Rockin' Ron and the New Society Band, 5 Wheel Drive, and the Allison Ames Band. There will be food available and a cash bar. Bring your wallet, because there will be raffles and an auction, which will feature items like a new flat screen TV, a left-handed Ibanez Sound Gear Bass Guitar, restaurant gift certificates, and a lot more! And, if you have a classic vehicle that you want to show off, drive it on over!

Admission to the fundraiser is just $10, and that's a suggested donation. In other words, if you can't afford $10, give what you can. And if you can afford to give more, it will be gratefully passed along to the families. Stop by to check out the vehicles, listen to some great music, maybe pick up an auction item, and help out these two young people and their families who are working hard to put their lives back together.
