According to WGME, the community is coming together to build a home for the widow of Somerset County Corporal Eugene Cole.

The Coles, who had lived in a mobile home in Norridgewock for years, had been saving to build their dream home when the sheriff's deputy was killed in the line of duty in April.

It looks as though that dream is about to become a reality.

Fairfield Drafting and Construction is building Sheryl Cole a home. Other local businesses are supplying supplies and labor.

The plans have been completed, but more money is needed before construction can begin. Donations are being accepted at Kennebec Savings Bank in Waterville.
