A woman whose body was found along the side of a Cherryfield road last month died of a gunshot wound to the head, authorities said.

The cause of death was reported Wednesday by WABI.

The body of Sally Shaw, 55, of New Gloucester was found July 19 on Route 193 by a passing motorist.

Carine Reeves, 37, and Quaneysha Greeley, 19, both of New York City, were arrested in Queens last month and charged with murder.

Greeley, a former Lewiston resident, did not enter a plea during her initial court appearance in Maine Aug. 11. She was scheduled to return to court Wednesday.

At the time of Greeley's first court appearance, Reeves remained in New York pending unrelated charges in that state.
