Movie Reviews 2
I have a couple more movie reviews as horror movie season continues at my house. From late September to Halloween, we try to watch several scary movies each week. This weekend we watched "100 Feet," and "Close Your Eyes."

In an adorable new video for Entertainment Weekly's website, the much-beloved Sesame Street characters Grover and Cookie Monster sing about pop-culture hits such as 'The Avengers' and 'The Hunger Games.' Sadly, Elmo wasn't available to join the duo's little choir, as he was busy working on his new musical, but the Blues Brothers decided the show must go on and still performed in the EW office.
If you haven't seen 'Toy Story 3,' you should probably stop reading and not watch this video. But if you have, you would know that at the end of the movie Buzz Lightyear and friends face certain death via fiery incinerator, only to be saved at the last moment by a giant claw.
Some pranksters decided to have fun with the movie's ending and the target of the prank was their poor unsuspecting mother.
I told you earlier this week that this is Horror Movie Season at my house. From late September to Halloween, we try to watch several scary movies each week. We got started last night with "The Skeptic" and "Case 39."
Admittedly, we don't know much about foreign cinema. But after watching this hilariously drawn-out death scene from a 1974 Turkish film, we just might have to update our Netflix queue.
If you're missing 'Harry Potter' and are desperately in need of a good Potter fix, then J.K. Rowling has some good news for you. In a recent interview with BBC News, she admitted that she'd written many of the 'Potter' novels on the run and is sorely tempted to expand upon the universe by writing a "director's cut." While that's not a direct "yes, I am writing a new Potter book," it's still a good sign for the legions of her devoted fans who miss Harry and his adventures at Hogwarts.
We've been waiting patiently for a proper follow-up to 1994's 'Dumb and Dumber' for, well, almost 20 years now. (Let's not count that unfortunate prequel.) One of those projects that seems to have life for a moment once every two years, it has never felt like it was going to truly come together. But the stars appear to be aligning for our dopey friends, as writer-directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly have revealed the title of the new 'Dumb and Dumber' installment.
We haven't heard much about Steven Spielberg's 'Robopocalypse' since it was announced that Chris Hemsworth was talking about joining the cast, but now it seems the film is adding more talent in front of and behind the camera. Anne Hathaway is supposedly circling the female lead, while Tom Rothman is in talks to produce the film.
From Mid-September until Halloween is a very special time in our house. It's when the lights go out early, so we can indulge in popcorn, coffee, and horror!
