More Scary Movies: ‘The Cell’
Horror Season continues at my house, and I'm sharing my take on a couple more scary flicks. I’ll be offering up reviews of horror movies and TV shows throughout the month, as Halloween gets closer!

'Taken' was the surprise hit of 2009, a January dump that inexplicably made nearly $150 million in the United States and transformed Liam Neeson into an instant action star. Three years later, 'Taken 2' has arrived in theaters on a primo release date and with an advertising campaign that probably cost more than the entire first movie. Well, it looks like the hype was worth it. The first film may have been a sleeper, but the second adventure of Liam Neeson's kidnap-prone family has opened like a true blockbuster.
'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' is due out December 14, but we now already know that there will be an extended edition of the film after it hits Blu-ray and DVD, set to be released sometime in third quarter of 2013.
At Fantastic Fest 2012, we sat down for a chat with legendary director Tim Burton who was there for the world premiere of his film 'Frankenweenie.' As star Winona Ryder would later admit, this is very much a movie about Tim Burton. It's a very personal project and we learne
Liam Neeson is a man who loves danger, which would explain why he went on 'Sportscenter' despite having no knowledge of football. In the 'Broken City' trailer you'll see Mark Wahlberg being the usual Mark Wahlberg ("Yauh gonna wawk away..."), Russell Crowe being the aging bad guy (when did become the actor playing the bad guy in a Mark Wahlberg action movie?) and Catherine Zeta-Jones as a slut. Can all these moving parts come together to make an effective political conspiracy action suspect thriller?
It's hard to believe that 'The Princess Bride' was released 25 years ago, but here the cast is, 25 years older to prove it's really happened. They reunited for the New York Film Festival to celebrate the anniversary, and new Blu-Ray release. PLUS, in an interview with 'The Today Show,' Robin Wright admitted that she was totally in love with Cary Elwes, as any sane woman would have been.
We've been getting some great looks at the new 'Lone Ranger' film starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer, but here's the first official 'Lone Ranger' poster to sufficiently keep you wanting more until the film's release... sometime next year.
