For over eight years, I taught broadcast journalism at the collegiate level and continuously heard colleagues questioning whether or not educators were teaching students critical thinking skills.

Agricultural Entrepreneurs Honored Today in Augusta

The 73rd Annual Maine Agricultural Trades Show is underway in Augusta and you can check it out for free, through Thursday.

 

The show was kicked off earlier today with the recognition of notable contributions to Maine agriculture, by Governor Paul LePage and the Commissioner of the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, Walter Whitcomb.

 

A couple from Freeport, Maine was presented the 2014 Commissioner’s Distinguished Service Award.

Shelters Open in Wake of Ice Storm [Updated 6:25pm ]

The skies have cleared for the most part today leaving only the cleanup following a two-day ice storm that left some parts of Maine covered in an inch of ice.
