Candidates for Representative and the Hancock County District Attorney's Office will come together Monday night for an informational forum. The public is invited to attend and submit their own questions.

Participants will include:

  • Ralph Chapman (incumbent) and David Guarente, competing for the Democratic nomination to represent Blue Hill, Brooklin, Brooksville, Castine, Sedgwick, and Surry in Maine House District 133
  • Paul Cavanaugh and Matt Roster, vying for the Republican nomination for District Attorney in District 7 (Hancock and Washington Counties)
  • Bill Entwistle and Steve Juskewitch, contesting the Democratic nomination for District Attorney in District 7

The participants will each make an opening statement, to be followed by answers to questions they received ahead of time. And then, the moderator will offer up questions from the audience. Each attendee will have the chance to write a question on a card and those questions will be addressed to the candidates.

Organizers hope the forum will give voters the opportunity to learn more about each candidate before the primary election on June 10th. Even more, they say they hope to inform and motivate potential voters who have not yet decided on a candidate.

The Primary Candidate's Forum will be held on the second floor of the Ellsworth City Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2nd. For more information, log onto the Community Union of Ellsworth's Facebook page.
