Cancellations as Maine Braces for Hurricane Sandy

High winds and rain could cause power outages and make travel dangerous. Many schools and business are preparing with early dismissals and altered hours of operation. Here's a list of what we have so far. Check back often, as we keep it updated throughout the day. And don't forget to refresh your browser, so it loads the newest list. Stay safe, everyone!

Schools:

• Union 69 (Appleton, Hope, Lincolnville) – closed
• Kennebec Valley Community College – all classes are cancelled.
• RSU 19 (Corinna, Dixmont, Etna, Hartland, Newport, Palmyra, Plymouth, Saint Albans)  – No After school activities today
• Washington County Community College closing at 5pm
• United Technology Center in Bangor – no adult education
• Eastern Maine Community College closing at 5:30pm
• RSU 12 cancelling afternoon and evening activities and Adult Education classes
• RSU 25 cancelling school activities after 4:30 pm…Adult Ed closing at 4:00 pm.
• AOS 92 Cancelling School and Adult Ed on Tuesday, 10/30

Business Announcements:

• Bar Harbor Banking and Trust will close all branches at 4:00 today and they will reopen at 10 Tuesday morning

Bingo or Beano

• No bingo tonight at the American Legion #207 in Trenton
