As Maine continues to get pounded by a wintry mix, the National Weather Service is advising against travel of any kind. If you have to go out, make sure you have emergency supplies, just in case you go off the road or get stuck. All this bad weather is causing a number of cancellations and closings. Here's our list, so far. Check back often! And call a head before you head out, to make sure your destination is still open or on schedule.

  • Bangor Pre-Council Meeting and City Council Meeting on December 23rd are canceled. Both are rescheduled for Monday, December 30th, at 6 and 7:30 respectively.
  • The City of Bangor has closed all non-essential offices
  • Bar Harbor Bank and Trust is closing all branches at 4pm
  • Green Acres Kennel Shop has canceled dog training classes
  • High Street Congregational Church in Newport services Monday night canceled
  • Holden Town Office is Closed
  • Penobscot County Government Offices are closed
  • St. Albans Town Office is closed
  • Tradewinds Stores (All) will close at 6pm
  • Trenton Town Office is closed
  • University of Maine in Orono is closed. Will reopen Tuesday at 5am
