Meghan Clark Visits the Q-106.5 Studio

JR and I were treated to a live performance this morning! Local singer, Meghan Clark stopped by with her guitar to sing for us. And, Wow, is she good! Check out the video and you can hear for yourself!

Meghan is a singer/songwriter from Calais who just got back from Nashville where she says she recorded five songs. At only 14 years of age, that's really impressive! And so is her voice, and her poise. Despite the fact that I kept walking toward her, with my phone recording the performance, she never missed a note.

She wanted to let our listeners know that she'll be performing this Saturday at the Belfast Bay Music Festival. A full day of live, local music will be held from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m at Steamboat Landing in Belfast. It's $20 to get in (free for kids under 10) and the proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity!

Meghan says, on her Facebook page, that her influences are Demi Lovato, Ed Sheeran, Little Mix, and Taylor Swift. JR started talking to her about Taylor this morning, and this young woman is a FAN!

We want to thank Meghan for visiting us today and sharing some of her music. We loved it! And, who knows, you just might be the next Taylor Swift!
