A Searsport man on a tractor led Brewer Police on a low-speed chase this morning and is now facing charges.

Brewer Officer Everett was traveling inbound at around 10:35 this morning on North Main Street when he noticed a farm tractor that was traveling outbound, pulling a piece of machinery. The tractor knocked over several traffic cones in a construction zone before the officer pulled it over, due to the way it was being driven.

During this stop, the driver, 41-year-old Todd Hill of Searsport, got back into the tractor and continued outbound on North Main Street at a low speed. He continued on for about three miles before stopping again, just over the Eddington line.

Hill was arrested and charged with failing to stop for a police officer and driving to endanger.
