Internet list maker Thrillist has compiled a list of the worst-designed cities in the world and it includes New England's largest city, Boston.

The website says part of the reason why Boston made the list is because it's one of the country's most difficult cities to navigate.

"Although the common explanation for Boston's willy-nilly street set-up is that the roads were originally built on top of wandering cow paths, the truth is that they simply weren't laid out according to an actual plan."

The site also says the "Big Dig" project played a role in Boston making the list.

"Estimated to have cost $22 billion (that's with a "B"), the titanic construction and redevelopment project took the greater part of 25 years to plan, delay, delay some more, and finally wrap up."

Other cities to make the list include Jakarta, Dubai, Atlanta, Naypyidaw, São Paulo, Brasilia, Missoula and Dhaka.
