The body pulled from the Penobscot River in June has been identified as that of a Bangor man.

The body is that of Peter Manuel, 22, according to a news release from the Bangor Police Department.

Manuel fell through the ice into the Kenduskeag Stream in March. His body was found on the banks of the Penosbcot River near the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge on June 23.
