Biddeford Police Investigate Death Of Man In Parking Lot, Search For Vehicle

Police say a Biddeford man is dead after a hit-and-run in a parking lot Tuesday afternoon, but investigators aren't sure if it was the hit-and-run that killed the man.

Maine State Police said Matthew Perry, 30, was struck by a pickup truck following a confrontation in the parking lot of a shopping plaza in Biddeford.

CBS 13 reports police are now searching for the driver of the vehicle, a dark-colored Chevy or GMC pickup truck with a tool box in the back.

Investigators hope surveillance footage from nearby businesses can help them identify the driver and learn more about what killed the man.

Police hope an autopsy scheduled for Tuesday will reveal the cause of death.
