As someone who does news, I can attest to how quickly those mistakes can be made. And, since you're live on the air, all you can do is plow through them and continue on. Even when your graphics guy accidentally replaces your face with that of a pig!

News blooper videos are among my favorites. It can be so tough to stay professional when you've just used a word that you should never use on the air. Or when a monkey punches you in the face!

One good thing about radio is that I don't deal with passersby while doing my newscasts. Many of these videos deal with everything from people mugging for the camera to one newscaster being asked out on live TV. Warning - some of the language on this video is strong.

My biggest blooper of the year happened a few weeks ago when I covered a story about a report of a naked man throwing things at passing vehicles. The man was allegedly high on bath salts and was apprehended by police. I don't know why I didn't see the train wreck coming and re-word my headlines at the bottom of the hour. But, as JR said 'Cindy's working on news coming up at 8. Cindy, what's coming up?' I began to hold back the giggles over the impending transition. My response? 'A naked man...,' at which point I dissolved in laughter that I couldn't recover from. It's one of the only times I've ever been unable to remain professional and plow ahead. A serious story but a very, very funny moment to add to my memoirs!
