The city of Bangor has reached an agreement with Waterfront Concerts that will increase the city's revenue and guarantee another 10 years of performances.

City Councilor Joe Baldacci said on his Facebook page that the contract will require a minimum of 10 shows per year, which will keep the music going all summer. In addition, the city will get a 10% increase in payments per ticket, starting in 2017, and increasing by 1.5 percent, per year moving forward, with Waterfront Concerts paying property taxes on everything.

Sound monitoring is part of the deal, with penalties for any violations. And city officials say they will work with owner Alex Gray to make some improvements, like the long-awaited permanent bathrooms.

The contract will be voted on by City Councilors at Monday's meeting.
