The Bridge Alliance will host the Bangor Pride Festival 2015 this weekend in Downtown Bangor. Titled 'Living Out Loud,' the event has plenty of fun planned, including music, dance, and a parade in support of the LGBTA community.

LGBTA, if you're not familiar with the term, stands for 'Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allied' communities. The festival is open to everyone who wants to have some fun and show their support for alternative lifestyles in Maine.

There are events throughout the week in recognition of Pride Week, but the Festival itself will kick off with a parade through Downtown Bangor. Everyone is invited to join the parade, but anyone who's planning on entering a vehicle or a float is asked to call the Bridge Alliance and let them know, so they know how many to expect. Line-up for vehicles and floats on the Bangor Waterfront will be at 10 a.m. and walkers will line-up at 10:30, with the parade stepping off at 11 a.m.

The Festival will be held in two locations this year - in both West Market Square and Pickering Square. Music will be provided by several local bands including the Rotating Taps, the Crown Vics, The Blast Addicts, and Stesha. There will be a dance demonstration by Northeastern Wind Middle Eastern Dancers performing. That's just a small portion of the fun that can be had in both locations on Saturday, including an after-party at the Sea Dog.

There's also an online auction to raise money for the Bridge Alliance. For more information and a schedule of events, log onto the Facebook page for the Bridge Alliance.
