Police in Bangor are looking for a woman who called in a hoax about shots being fired on Kenduskeag Avenue, according to Sgt. Tim Cotton.

The woman borrowed a man's phone and made the call from a local pharmacy Tuesday night, Cotton said in a post on Facebook.

“Upon their arrival at the address, they found nothing of the sort,” said Cotton.

A surveillance camera captured a picture of the suspect, which was posted on the department's Facebook page on Wednesday.

Police hope to receive a tip from someone who recognizes the woman. Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call 947-7384 ext. 6.
